PricewaterhouseCoopers Aarata is a Japanese member firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers (“PwC”). PwC refers to the PwC Network member firms and may sometimes refer to the PwC Network. Each member firm is a separate legal entity. PwC is a global accounting firm and the leading global reconstruction and development advisor. PwC is a strategic advisor to QFF and provides advice on key elements of operation including designing protocols, project selection, monitoring and evaluation. In addition, PwC provides financial advisory services to ensure transparency and accountability.

     
 

Baker & McKenzie (Gaikokuho Joint Enterprise) is a fully integrated law firm, comprising lawyers licensed to practice not only under Japanese law, but various other key jurisdictions throughout the world. The law office operates as the Tokyo arm of the global firm, Baker & McKenzie, and has the ability to provide one stop-shop services for all legal needs, including both cross-border and domestic matters.

Baker & McKenzie consists of professionals with highly specialized expertise and experience, who work together to provide seamless legal and tax services to our clients. The Tokyo professionals have the added advantage of being able to pool resources from around the world through their regional and global practice groups, to provide a multijurisdictional approach effectively across borders, time zones, cultures and languages.

The Tokyo office of Baker & McKenzie acts as legal advisor to the Qatar Friendship Fund in connection with its activities in the Tohoku region.

     
  Zed Communications is an independent micro-network agency founded in 1999, with offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Qatar and Oman. The agency provides integrated communications for a broad portfolio of local and international clients in advertising, PR, branding, print, film, digital, live events and exhibitions. Candlewick is a Marketing and PR agency that builds brand value and offers integrated support services for its clients’ communications needs. Trained, bilingual staff with Japanese and international experience, establish the best communication approaches by assessing each brand from a number of perspectives and actively exchanging ideas through the company’s global partner network.

Candlewick has broad experience in the social contribution field and has managed PR for a number of social action programmes and support activities following the Great East Japan Earthquake. It managed the corporate PR activities of a global home furnishing company based in Sweden; the charity events of Refugees International Japan (RIJ); and PR activities for “All Japan Ballet GALA Concert 2012”, hosted by the top Japanese dancers to support the Tohoku region.

Candlewick now works closely with Zed to support QFF’s overall communication efforts as the project’s Japanese PR and communication specialist.

The organization supports local industry in the Kamaishi Otsuchi region, with a mission to contribute to the growth of the entire local industry and regional vitalization. It also strengthens local SME’s management bases, especially in coastal areas.
